An online survey has been developed to assess the skills and knowledge of pre-service teachers at all educational levels regarding storytelling and digital storytelling. This survey was translated into five languages: English, Greek, German, Polish, and Czech. Pre-service teachers in each participating country have been invited to complete the survey. The responses were analyzed to produce a comprehensive report on teachers’ understanding and needs in utilizing digital storytelling in their educational practices.
This report, along with a literature review on the educational systems of each country and the history of shadow puppet theatre and storytelling traditions, create a detailed portrait of opportunities to enhance digital storytelling. A design thinking approach, as outlined by IDEO, has been adopted, and teachers will be trained in using this approach to improve their digital storytelling skills. Concurrently, a community platform is being developed alongside an online training program and teachers' guides to support the use of digital tools in storytelling and shadow puppet theatre.

Templates of Shadow Theatre figures and sceneries
In the following files you can find templates for shadow theatre figures and sceneries that have been created by Mrs Christina Grigoraki, one of the Greek teachers that participated in the project training event at Chania, 17-19 September, 2025. Mrs Grigoraki, after this event, has contributed with her creations and participation in many local events where participating students had the opportunity to use these templates to create their versions of digital figures and sceneries in eShadow and animate them in digital stories.
In the following file, you can find templates for shadow theatre figures that have been created by Mr Christos Ioannidis. Mr Ioannidis has implemented the new version of eShadow used in the Stories4All project. The offered templates were used at various events to evaluate this new version and allow participating students to create their own digital figures in eShadow and animate them in digital stories.
